Being able to finding a ‘where’ is just as important as searching for a ‘what’. This instructor-led course will introduce you to working with geospatial data in Elasticsearch.
Note: This course is a module of the Elasticsearch Advanced Search specialization.


This course covers how to index geospatial data into an Elasticsearch cluster, as well as how to leverage APIs to search and aggregate this data. You will learn about how geospatial search works at a high level, how it is exposed in Elasticsearch, and explore different geospatial data types. After completing this course, you will be able to index, search, and aggregate geospatial data using Elasticsearch.

We recommend you have taken Elasticsearch Engineer I and Elasticsearch Engineer II or possess equivalent knowledge. Engineer I and Engineer II teach the concepts that are the foundation upon which all specializations are built.

This instructor-led course is only taught in a virtual classroom environment. We encourage participants to set up their systems prior to logging into the training environment the first day of the class. We also encourage being logged into the virtual classroom 15 minutes prior to the start of class each day.
